About the AI Models
We train and run our models directly in BigQuery ML using 30+ years of daily gold and silver prices. The dataset is cleaned (gaps forward-filled and series aligned) and stored in the project’s market dataset.
Models we maintain
- gold_arima — An automatic ARIMA time-series model for gold that captures trend and mean-reversion without external inputs.
- gold_arimax — An ARIMA variant that can include exogenous signals (e.g., calendar or market drivers) for scenario and robustness checks.
- silver_arima — The baseline ARIMA model for silver, used for cross-market confirmation.
Why several models?
We triangulate. Each model produces a daily forecast with an 80% prediction interval (PI); results are compared for stability and outlier risk before we surface a view.
How this powers the forecast
- Time Series Forecast shows the near-term probabilistic path and PI for the current day.
- Gold Price Forecast commentary is generated with Gemini using live spot context and recent market cues, aligned to model levels and risk ranges.
